I year or two ago I got Donkey Kong 64. I didn't actually ask for it, but my brother got it for his birthday. We ordered it offline. It came in and we had to wait another 2 weeks for an extra adaption pack to come in the mail, cuz we didn't know that you had to have that part in your N64 to play Donkey Kong 64. When we finally got it we went straight to the multiplayer mode and spent the rest of the day playing it.

I like this game. I wouldn't put it on my list of favorite games or even suggest you buying it, but it is a good game. There are few things I like, but there are also a few things I don't like. Let's start with the bad stuff about it. First of all, the main story line doesn't include multiplayer. I believe this game would be greatly enhanced alot if you could play with your best freind or sibling. Next....the graphics are often too dark. If you fall into a dark spot then you are doomed. You can't tell where your're going or what your doing. You can't even recongnize Donkey Kong. The shadows in this game are too noticable. You can see a shadow everywhere. I realize that the developers where trying to add depth, but they added too much depth. The last thing I don't like about the game is the difficulty of knowing what to do. If you didn't look around at all then you would never understand what to do in this game. The game is all explore and attack at will when it should be find and boss fight. Something that goes with this is the unneeded or ununderstandable gameplay mechanics. Some things just don't add up to what a game should be. Now that I'm done dissing the game I'm about to change your mind. The first thing I like about the game is the character roster. You can easily change from character to character without much work. It even makes it fun. The next thing I like is the controls. There isn't much to say about them except that they are very easy to understand after a few seconds of familiarizing yourself with them. The last thing I really like about the game is the implementation of the animal guides. You can turn into a swordfish or a rhino. That is totally cool to me. I'm glad they brought it back in Donkey Kong Country Returns.
